For electrolysis in Maine, Accentuous Electrolysis is one of the best options. Barbara has made a difference in my life. I tried other home hair removal methods with little success, because they weren’t permanent. I considered using prescription medication or creams to reduce hair growth, but didn’t try them. Only electrolysis has worked for me. Four years later, I’m 95% hair free, and my visits have been reduced from once a week to once a month. Now, especially knowing that it doesn’t cost much, I wish I had it done earlier. I face the world with comfort and confidence, without worrying that someone will see a hair that shouldn’t be there. The first time I walked into Barbara’s office, I was quite shy. It was not long at all before she made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Barbara is a super friendly person, and exceptionally good at what she does, and is very reasonably priced. I have recommended her to several of my friends with 100% confidence. Even with the mild discomfort that sometimes comes with electrolysis, thinking back to our many conversations during my sessions always brings a smile to my face, and often many a chuckle or two. I wish I had found Accentuous Electrolysis many years ago. Barbara makes you feel so comfortable. I had such a problem with trying to get my hair issues under control. When I started with Barbara it was so bad I went twice a week. Now I go every 3 weeks. The best is how comfortable you feel with her. I miss seeing her to also catch up. She has become a good friend.

When I decided to seek an assessment for electrolysis, I sought someone with whom I could feel comfortable, as I knew it would be a long process. It took me four years for the removal of the facial hair that was quite thick and covered much of my face. NO other methods worked — they only made the situation worse. I quickly became comfortable with Barbara, who is funny and doesn’t take herself that seriously. She did wonderful work and now I only need an annual, what we call, “tune-up.” Having this done wasn’t cheap — or easy — but, if I had to make the choice to do it again, I certainly would. And if I would choose a professional, it would be ONLY Barbara, despite the fact that her office is 25 miles from my house, and I pass other electrolysis offices on my way. She is funny, and distracting from the discomfort that may accompany the procedure. With her professionalism, excellent work, and down-to-earth personality, she is the best!
I’ve had two sessions with Barbara so far and couldn’t be more pleased with the comfort, her professionalism, and most important — the results! She’s quick and very efficient. Not to mention, Barbara is very reasonably priced! I was getting treatment elsewhere and the hair came back almost immediately. The treatments were extremely long and very costly. I almost gave up on electrolysis. Then, I found Barbara and I’m very grateful! With the treatments I’m getting now, the hair is gone until the next session (bi-weekly). I’ve also noticed I’m beginning to see less hair growth. I plan to have her treat many areas. I recommend Barbara to everyone! Try her out — you won’t regret it 🙂

I cannot imagine my life without Barb! She has relieved me of years of embarrassment — it was so hard to go in there the first time, but the office is extremely private and Barb is so professional. I particularly like the music she plays — it’s always great oldies and for some reason makes the time go by. It hurts for about 3 seconds and then it doesn’t hurt. And it is so worth it!
I have been going to Barb for about a year and a half, and I cannot tell you what a change she has made in my life! I have spent endless hours tweezing.
